Audrey's Thanksgiving Party

Audrey celebrated Thanksgiving with her classmates by having a Thanksgiving lunch and singing a song. She was assigned to bring turkey and was dressed as a pilgrim. She was so cute. NeNe and MawMaw were in town to join her for lunch too.

Brooke's 1st Trip to the ER

To keep things exciting on Halloween, Brooke decided she wanted to visit the ER. After trick-or-treating, she pulled my Kitchen Aide blender (type noted because they are HEAVY!) off of the bottom island shelf onto her big toe. After several minutes of her screaming and not calming down, we figured that we should go ahead and take her in to get it checked out. I was afraid she had broken her foot at the base of her big toe. After x-rays, they said that she had a clean fracture in her toe that didn't need any surgery, but that we should keep her off of her feet. Remember, she is two, which is pretty much impossible. So, we pulled the couch bed out and let her play on it which worked pretty well. She broke it on a Saturday, and we were able to see an orthopedic on the following Monday. Luckily, he said we just needed to keep her tennis shoes on at all times except for sleeping. So, she was free to walk and play which with her shoes on, she had no problems. This made both of us happy! We had to keep her shoes on for 4 weeks. It is still healing as it is still a shade of purple/pink, but she is able to walk much better now. The doctor said that she may not get the flexibility back in the toe, but it looks like it is starting to come back.

Several days later...

Halloween

Since Audrey's birthday party was on Halloween and was a costume party, the girls were already dressed to go trick or treating. Brooke loved the candy, and we had a hard time keeping her out of it!

Audrey's 4th Birthday

We celebrated Audrey's 4th birthday on Halloween which fell on the Saturday before her birthday with a costume party at our house. It had to be moved inside and into the garage because it had rained a lot the days before her party. Audrey was Belle and Brooke was Minnie Mouse. Audrey had a great time playing with her friends and really enjoyed her party. She requested a cake in the shape of a tiara with pink and purple icing. We even had cake in ice cream cones that looked like chocolate ice cream with sprinkles which was much more exciting than the tiara cake.

It is hard to believe that my little girl is 4 years old! She is such a sweet girl who loves princesses and any type of craft. At her four year old check up she was 41 pounds (70%) and 43 1/4" tall (95%). The doctor still thinks that she will be around 5'9" as an adult.
